Legislative Measures to Ban on Smoking in the Public Catering Establishments in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with Legislative measures to ban smoking in the public catering Establishments in the Czech Republic. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out the attitude and preparedness of the managers on the law „on the protection of health from the harmful effects of addictive things“, with effect from 31.5.2017 and to compare opinions on the anti-smoking law with the Czech and Slovak clients. The thesis has three parts: theoretical-methodological, analytical and proposal part. The countries of the European Union and their legislative regulation of smoking are presented in the beginning of the theoretical part. Subsequently, the diploma thesis discusses possible impacts of anti-smoking policy. The conclusion of the theoretical part is the legislative regulation of smoking in the Czech Republic and categorization of catering facilities according to EUROSTAT methodology. The second, analytical part of the introduction describes the methodology of data collection. Subsequently, the results of the research, namely a questionnaire survey and a structured interview, are evaluated. The analytical part of the findings is based on the proposal part, which presents the proposals and the possible impacts of the new law.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá Legislatívnymi opatreniami k zákazu fajčenia v zariadeniach spoločného stravovania v Českej republike. Cieľom diplomovej práce je pomocou kvalitatívneho výskumu zistiť postoj a pripravenosť manažérov na zákon ,,o ochraně zdraví před škodlivými účinky návykových Látek“, s účinnosťou od 31.5.2017 a porovnať názory na ,,protifajčiarsky zákon,, u českej a slovenskej klientely. Práca má tri časti : teoreticko-metodologickú, analytickú a návrhovú časť. V úvode teoretickej časti sú predstavené jednotlivé krajiny Európskej únie a ich legislatívna úprava fajčenia. Následne sú v diplomovej práci pojednávané možné dopady protifajčiarskej politiky. Záver teoretickej časti tvorí legislatívna úprava fajčenia v Českej republike a kategorizácia hostinských zariadení podľa metodiky EUROSTATu. Druhá, analytická časť v úvode popisuje metodiku zberu dát. Následne sú zhodnotené výsledky výskumu, a to dotazníkového prieskumu a štruktúrovaného rozhovoru. Zo zistených poznatkov v analytickej časti vychádza návrhová časť, v ktorej sú uvedené návrhy a možné dopady nového zákona.
