Occurrence of burnout syndrome in secondary school teachers

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na výskyt syndromu vyhoření u pedagogů středních odborných škol. Autorka se zabývá problematikou stresu obecně, jeho podstatou, zdroji a příčinami se zaměřením na pedagogickou profesi. V jednotlivých kapitolách je za pomocí autorů vysvětlen vznik stresu. Dále je popsán průběh stresové reakce a následné dopady dlouhodobého stresu na lidský organismus. Za důsledek dlouhodobého působení stresu na lidský organismus je považován syndrom vyhoření, který je pro tuto práci klíčovým prvkem. Hlavní otázky se týkají vzniku syndromu vyhoření, prevencí a copingových strategií bránícím stresu vyvolat syndrom vyhoření. V rámci této problematiky autorka uvedla kategorie syndromu vyhoření u pedagogů. V závěrečné části teoretické práce se autorka zaměřila na profil pedagoga.Míra syndromu vyhoření je v praktické části zjišťována u pedagogů na vybrané střední odborné škole. Autorka na základě teoretické části provedla průzkumné šetření za pomocí standardizovaného dotazníku MBI – Maslach Burnout Inventory, který je přesně určený pro tuto problematiku. Dále autorka standardizovaný dotazník doplnila otázkou, kterou si sama zhotovila a je v souladu s cíli bakalářské práce.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is aimed at the occurrence of the burnout of the vocational high school pedagogues. Author is dealing with the problematic of the stress in general, it is principles, sources, and causes with respect to the profession of the pedagogue. In the individual chapters is explained by the author the origin of the stress. Furthermore is described the course of the stress reaction and the conse-quent impacts of the long – term stress on the human body. As the result of the long – term influence for the stress on the human body is regarded the burnout syndrome, which the main target of this thesis. Main issues are dealing with the development of the burnout, prevention and copping strate-gies preventing burnout development by the stress. Within this problematic author presented categories of the burnout syndrome of pedagogues. In the final part of the theoretical thesis author focuses on the profile of the pedagogue. The degree of burnout syndrome is determined in the practical part of the theses on the basis of the pedagogue’s experiences on the selected vocational high school. Author on the basis of the theoretical part of the thesis made the standardised MBI – Maslach Burnout Inventory, which is directly intended for this problematic. Further author added a question to the survey, that she developed by herself with respect to the goals of the bachelor thesis.
