The Relationship between time perspective and the level of precarization

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zkoumá problém prekarizace práce a její vliv na časovou perspektivu osobnosti. V současné době rostoucí prekarizace práce, způsobená globalizací, technologickým pokrokem a vznikem gigové ekonomiky, má vážné sociální důsledky, jako je nerovnost příjmů, sociální vyloučení a nedostatek sociální mobility. V práci byl proveden literární přehled týkající se prekarizace práce a byly identifikovány hlavní faktory přispívající k tomuto procesu. Byly zkoumány možnosti zmírnění důsledků prekarizace práce, včetně změny právních předpisů, investic do vzdělávání a odborného rozvoje zaměstnanců a přehodnocení společenského pohledu na práci. Hlavní částí práce je empirický výzkum, který analyzuje vztah mezi prekarizací práce a časovou perspektivou osobnosti pomocí metody ZTPI. Provedená analýza potvrzuje hypotézu, že mladí specialisté pracující v prekérních podmínkách mají odlišné parametry vnímání okolní skutečnosti ve srovnání s běžnými standardy. Provedená analýza umožnila identifikovat významnou souvislost mezi mírou prekarizace práce a parametry časové perspektivy osobnosti. Toto zjištění pomáhá lépe porozumět vlivu prekarizace práce na psychologický stav pracovníků a navrhnout opatření ke zmírnění jejích důsledků. Výsledky této práce mohou být využity pro vývoj nových přístupů ke snižování míry prekarizace práce a zlepšování kvality pracovního života zaměstnanců.

Abstract:

The thesis explores the issue of labor precarization and its impact on individuals' time perspective. Currently, the growing precarization of work, driven by globalization, technological progress, and the emergence of the gig economy, has significant social consequences such as income inequality, social exclusion, and lack of social mobility. The study provides a literature review on the problem of labor precarization and identifies key factors contributing to this process. Possible ways to mitigate the consequences of labor precarization are examined, including legislative changes, investments in education and skills development, and a reevaluation of societal views on work. The empirical research constitutes the main part of the thesis, analyzing the relationship between labor precarization and individuals' time perspective using the ZTPI method. The conducted analysis confirms the hypothesis that young professionals working in precarious conditions have distinct parameters of perceiving the surrounding reality compared to commonly accepted norms. The analysis reveals a significant correlation between the degree of labor precarization and the parameters of individuals' time perspective. This finding provides a deeper understanding of the influence of labor precarization on the psychological well-being of workers and offers potential solutions to mitigate its consequences. The findings of this study can contribute to the development of new approaches to reduce the level of labor precarization and enhance the quality of workers' working lives
