Abstract:
This thesis deals with postmodern terms that encompass the level "meta-" in their name and meaning: metanarrative, metafiction, metahistory and my own term meta-parody. The aim of the thesis is to find out possible connections and differences between these terms and to draw conclusions about the meaning of their prefix "meta-" and its connection to the prefix "post-" in postmodernism.
