Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá gotickým románem, zaměřuje se především na jeho charakteristiku, vznik a vývoj. Cílem této práce je především zjistit, v jaké podobě se gotický román uplatňuje v tvorbě současného českého spisovatele Miloše Urbana, v jehož třech dílech (Sedmikostelí, Stín katedrály a Santiniho jazyk) nalézáme rysy gotického románu. Abstract:
This bachelor thesis is about a gothic novel, focusing mainly on its characteristics, how it was created and developed. Goal of this thesis is to figure out, in which form is a gothic novel used in works of the current czech writer Miloš Urban.
