Tax literacy of UJEP students

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá porovnáním daňové gramotnosti studentů pedagogické a sociálně ekonomické fakulty UJEP v Ústí nad Labem. Hlavním cílem je zjistit úroveň daňové gramotnosti u studentů těchto fakult. K dosažení stanoveného cíle je využita kvantitativní metoda výzkumu - dotazníkové šetření. Výzkumný soubor tvoří studenti všech ročníků kombinovaného a denního bakalářského studia na zvolených fakultách. V dotazníkovém šetření je zkoumáno, jaké faktory ovlivňují úroveň znalostí studentů. Vybranými faktory jsou forma studia, ročník studia, absolvování vybraných předmětů a pracovní zkušenosti. V dotazníku jsou položeny otázky ohledně daňového přiznání, daně z příjmů a spotřebních daní. Jsou stanoveny hypotézy, výsledky jsou následně vyhodnoceny pomocí analýzy rozptylu a testu nezávislosti Chí kvadrát. Získaná data mohou být využita pro zvážení zařazení nepovinného předmětu na zkoumaných fakultách pro zvýšení povědomí o daních mezi studenty. Dalším využitím mimo UJEP je rozšíření o oblast daňového poradenství při práci autorky jako finanční konzultantky. První část práce se věnuje dostupné literatuře, je konkretizováno téma daně ve spojitosti s daňovou a finanční gramotností. Druhou část tvoří analýza a hodnocení dotazníkového šetření.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the comparison of the tax literacy of students of the Faculty of Education and Social Economics Faculty UJEP in Ústí nad Labem. The main goal is to determine the level of tax literacy among students of these faculties. A quantitative research method - a questionnaire survey - is used to achieve the set goal. The research group consists of students of all years of combined and full-time bachelor's studies at selected faculties. The questionnaire survey examines what factors influence the level of students' knowledge. The selected factors are the form of study, year of study, completion of selected subjects and work experience. The questionnaire ask questions about tax returns, income taxes and consumption taxes. Hypotheses are established, the results are subsequently evaluated using analysis of variance and the chi-square test of independence. The obtained data can be used to consider the inclusion of an optional subject at the studied faculties to increase tax awareness among students. Another use outside the UJEP is the extension to the area of tax consulting during the author's work as a financial consultant. The first part of the work is devoted to the available literature, the topic of tax is specified in connection with tax and financial literacy. The second part consists of the analysis and evaluation of the questionnaire survey.
