Development of Motor Skills of Children with Mental Disabilities in Playschool

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou "Rozvoje motorických dovedností u dětí s mentálním postižením v mateřské škole. Práce je členěna na teoretickou a empirickou část. V teoretické části se zabýváme definováním termínu mentální postižení, motorika. Dále popisujeme etiologii, diagnostiku, klasifikaci a edukaci jedinců s mentálním postižením. Svou pozornost také věnujeme členění motoriky, pohybovému vývoji a v neposlední řadě vhodným intervenčním postupům. V empirické části prezentujeme výsledky výzkumného šetření, jehož cílem bylo zjistit vliv cílené intervence na rozvoj motorických dovedností u dětí s mentálním postižením v mateřské škole. Statistickou analýzou dat byly komparovány komponentní skóre experimentální a kontrolní skupiny. Dále předkládáme intervenční postupy, dle kterých byli edukováni probandi z experimentální skupiny. V závěru práce předkládáme konkrétní závěry a doporučení pro praxi.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of "Development of motor skills in children with mental disabilities in playschool". The thesis is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. In the theoretical part we deal with the definition of the term mental disability, motor skills. We also describe the etiology, diagnosis, classification and education of individuals with intellectual disabilities. We also devote our attention to the classification of motor skills, motor development and, last but not least, appropriate intervention procedures. In the empirical part, we present the results of a research investigation aimed at determining the effect of a targeted intervention on the development of motor skills in children with intellectual disabilities in playschool. Statistical analysis of the data was used to compare the component scores of the experimental and control groups. We also present the intervention procedures according to which the probands from the experimental group were educated. We conclude this thesis with specific conclusions and recommendations for practice.
