Development of Melnik city with a view to urbanistic design, capital build-up and dotation policy

Abstract:

Předmětem práce je město Mělník v jeho historicko-urbánním vývoji a současných souvislostech. Hlavním cílem práce je charakteristika možností urbánního rozvoje města, která obsahuje stručnou socioekonomickou analýzu, přehled urbánního vývoje města včetně urbanistické charakteristiky, seznámení s výstavbou po roce 1989 a klade důraz na zapojení fondů Evropské unie v minulém a budoucích obdobích. Finální kapitolou je zhodnocení pozice sídla z hlediska použití těchto prostředků mezi modelovými městy. Hlavními metodami práce je studium literatury, terénní průzkum oblasti a fotodokumentace, digitalizace historických mapových děl a dotazníkový průzkum. Závěrem práce je zmíněna analýza urbánní regenerace města s vybranými problémy.

Abstract:

Issue of the thesis is Melnik city within its history of urban development and contemporary context. Main aim of the thesis is urban development possibilities characteristic, which contain brief socioeconomic analyze, urban evolution overview with urban characteristic and mentioning build-up after year 1989. The funding from the outer European Union sources and position of the city among the model cities from the view of mentioned instruments is accented on the end. Prevailing methods of work are: study of literature sources, terrains exploration of area and fotodocumentation, digitalization of historic map sources and questionnaire. Final part of the work mentions the urban regeneration of the city through the chosen problems.
