Pediatric palliative care from the perspective od pediatric nurses

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou dětské paliativní péče, konkrétně tím, jak jsou dětské sestry připraveny na její zvládání. V teoretické části je přiblížena dětská paliativa a možnosti vzdělávání se v této oblasti a také je zdůrazněn význam dětské sestry coby nepostradatelného článku této péče. Praktická část je provedena metodou kvalitativního sběru dat od dětských sester, které tuto péči vykonávají. Cílem rozhovorů bylo zjistit, jak dětské sestry vnímají dětskou paliativní péči, jak na ni jsou připraveny a co pokládají za klíčový bod této péče.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of children's palliative care, specifically how nurses are prepared to deal with it. In the theoretical part, the children's palliative care and the possibilities of training in this field are presented, and the importance of the children's nurse as an indispensable link in this care is also emphasized. The practical part is carried out by means of a qualitative data collection method from pediatric nurses who provide this care. The aim of the interviews was to find out how paediatric nurses perceive paediatric palliative care, how prepared they are for it and what they consider to be the key points of this care.
