Main focus of my thesis is put on the EU Council. Presidency institute and the perspectives of the Czech Republic Presidency in the first half of 2009. The presidency issue is nowadays rather actual and disscused topic in the Crech Republic and will influence the Czech Republic´s relationship with the EU and also the EU itself.
