Tato diplomová práce se zabývá pocitem studu, přítomným v pěti vybraných dílech současné francouzsky píšící autorky Annie Ernaux. V teoretické části je definován pojem "stud" (honte) z pohledu sociologie, psychologie a v neposlední řadě jako téma literárního díla.
