Roller Skiing as a Training Tool in Biathlon

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na použití kolečkových lyží v přípravě biatlonistů v letním přípravném období. Obsahuje historii biatlonu a běžeckého lyžování, popisuje biatlon a rozebírá jeho složky, a to střelbu a běh na lyžích volnou technikou. Autor se věnuje popisu kolečkové lyže, materiálnímu vybavení biatlonisty a bezpečnosti jízdy. Hlavním přínosem práce je uvedení zásobníků cvičení k nácviku techniky jízdy a použití kolečkových lyží v tréninku biatlonistů. Práce je určená pro sportovce a trenéry biatlonu k rozšíření vědomostí i pro inspiraci.

Abstract:

This bachelor paper deals with the use of roller-skies in the preparation of biathletes during the period of summer training. The paper covers the history of biathlon and cross-country skiing, it describes biathlon and deals with its components which are shooting and cross-country skiing freestyle technique. The author devotes the paper to the description of a roller-ski, of material equipment and also of safety requirements of running. Several exercises for practicing the skiing technique and use of roller-skies in biathlon training have been included as main benefits of the paper. The paper aims at athletes and biathlon coaches to whom it should help to expand their knowledge as well as provide a source of inspiration.
