The Symbols of God and attempt of interpretation.

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se zabývám symbolem Boha v Tillichově teologii a odpovídám na námitky, které staví do kontrastu Tillichovo chápání Boha jako Bytí-Samo a biblický symbol Boha Otce, neboli osobního Boha. V první části se zaměřuji na ujasnění významu pojmu symbol a stanovení jeho hlavních charakteristik ve vztahu k Tillichovu teologickému systému. V druhé části se zabývám specifiky náboženských symbolů a zvláštní metodou, kterou pro práci s nimi Tillich využívá. V hlavním oddílu se věnuji vyjádření Boha jako Bytí-Samo, otázkami na které tento pojem odpovídá a námitkami proti němu, zejména námitce, že odstraňuje osobní vztah s Bohem. Na závěr představuji Tillichův symbol Boha nad Bohem a jeho význam jako odpovědi na lidskou otázku po Bohu. Úkolem této práce je uvést čtenáře do Tillichova díla, umožnit mu orientaci v jeho pojmosloví a pomoci přistupovat k jeho knihám s porozuměním.

Abstract:

In my bachelor's thesis I am deals with the symbol of God in theology of Tillich and answer to the objection, that make contrasting Tillich's understanding of God as Being-Self and biblical symbol of God Father, or personal God. The first part focuses on clarifying the meaning of the concept of symbol and determine its major characteristics in relation to Tillich's theological system. The second part deals with the specifics of religious symbols and special Tilich's methods for working with them. The main section looks at the expression of God as Being-Self, questions on which corresponds this concept and the claim against him, in particular the objection that it removes the personal relationship with God. The conclusions is Tillich's symbol of God above God and his importance as a response to the human question of God. The goal of this work is to introduce readers to Tillich's work, enabling him guidance in his terminology, and help read his books with understanding.
