Non/professional relationship between a social worker and a client with diagnosis of schizophrenia

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce s názvem „Ne/profesionální vztah mezi sociálním pracovníkem a klientem s diagnózou schizofrenie“ je objasnění složek, které mohou negativně ovlivňovat vytváření vzájemného vztahu mezi sociálním pracovníkem a klientem s diagnózou schizofrenie. V teoretické části práce se věnuji zejména vymezení těchto složek ve vztahu klienta a sociálního pracovníka z dostupné literatury. Hlavní výzkumná otázka se týká toho, které z těchto složek můžeme pozorovat právě u klientů a sociálních pracovníků v organizaci FOKUS Vysočina, popřípadně jestli se objevují ještě nějaké další okolnosti vytváření vzájemného vztahu, které nejsou v teoretické části práce popsány. Pro výzkum byla zvolena kvalitativní strategie, v rámci které byla využita při sběru dat technika polostrukturovaného rozhovoru a technika zúčastněného pozorování. Na základě získaných údajů, byla provedena analýza. Výsledky analýzy a odpověď na hlavní výzkumnou otázku jsou uvedeny v závěru. Nejdůležitěší složkou ne/profesionálního vztahu je složka „bezpečí“ a složka „partnerství, spolupráce a blízkost“. Práce sociálních pracovníků s klienty v organizaci FOKUS Vysočina je profesionální, výzkumem se mi podařilo zjistit spíše složky, označené jako systémové a institucionální, které nejsou sociální pracovníci schopni ovlvinit a jejich změna závisí víceméně na dané organizaci.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis called „Non/professional relationship between a social worker and a client with diagnosis of schizophrenia“ is to clarify the parts which can negatively influence the creation of relationship between the social worker and the client with diagnosis of schizophrenia. In theoretical part there are defined these parts concerning the relationship. These definitions are based on findings from professional literature. The main research question is related to components that we can observe in FOKUS Vysočina organization and there are also mentioned other factors that are not described in theoretical part. The quantitative strategy is chosen in practical part, specifically the method of half-structured interview and the method of observation. On the basis of gained information, the analysis was done. The results of the analysis and the answer to the main research question can be found in the conclusion. The most important part of the non/professional relationship between a social worker and a client is a „safety“ part and „partnership, cooperation and closenes“ part. The work of social workers with clients in FOKUS Vysočina organization is professional. The research helped to find the components which are described as systemic and institutional. These components can´t be influenced by social workers and their change is dependent on the given organization itself.
