Ethics and ethical codes in terms of security management

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na faktory, které ovlivňují chování příslušníků vybraných bezpečnostních sborů České republiky. Soustředí se na důležitost role nadřízených a jejich autority. Diplomová práce má charakter teoreticky empirický. V teoretické části práce definuje základní termíny vybrané problematiky a dále rozebírá etické kodexy vybraných bezpečnostních sborů. Empirická část využívá rozhovorů, jejichž respondenty jsou odborníci z praxe, kteří mají mnohaleté zkušenosti s managementem v bezpečnostních sborech. Rozhovory byly provedeny polostrukturovanou formou, aby bylo možné danou problematiku lépe zmapovat a podrobněji definovat faktory, které mají na chování příslušníků vliv. Získané poznatky jsou důkladně popsány a na základě nich jsou v samotném závěru práce vyvozena příslušná doporučení. Přínosem práce je zejména upotřebitelnost námětů na zdokonalení v praxi.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on the factors that influence the behaviour of members of selected security forces of the Czech Republic. It focuses on the importance of the role of supervisors and their authority. The thesis has a theoretical and empirical nature. In the theoretical part, the basic terms of the selected issue are defined and the Codes of Conduct of selected security forces are analysed. The empirical part uses interviews, whose respondents are practitioners who have many years of experience with management in security forces. The interviews were conducted in a semi-structured form to better map the issue and to define in more detail the factors that affect the behaviour of the members concerned. The acquired findings are thoroughly described and, based on them, appropriate recommendations are drawn in the conclusion of the thesis. The benefit of the paper is mainly the usability of ideas for improvement in practice.
