Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá procvičováním anglické slovní zásoby ve třídě mladších žáků s použitím her a herních aktivit. V teoretické části jsou uvedeny definice základních pojmů, teorie tzv. Lexical Approach při vyučování angličtiny, základní techniky procvičování slovní zásoby a výhody a nevýhody využití her ve výuce. Praktická část obsahuje popis osmi slovních her a herních aktivit. Ty byly začleněny do plánů hodin, vyzkoušeny a pozorovány v praxi, ve třídě mladších žáků v jazykové škole. Popis každé hry je doplněn zpětnou vazbou učitele a použité materiály jsou uvedeny v příloze. V závěrečné kapitole bakalářské práce jsou popsány čtyři významné aspekty využití her při procvičování slovní zásoby, které byly pozorovány a zaznamenány během vyučování.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with practising English vocabulary in the classroom of young learners using games and game-based activities. The theoretical part provides definitions of basic terms, introduces the theory of the Lexical Approach in English teaching, summarizes basic techniques of practising vocabulary and focuses on using games in ELT and their advantages and disadvantages. In the practical part, eight vocabulary games and game-based activities are presented. They were included into lesson plans, tried out and observed in the real classroom of primary school children. Each description of a game is followed by the teacher’s feedback and the materials used are presented in the Appendices section. In the final chapter of the thesis, four significant aspects of using games for practising vocabulary observed during the real teaching process are described and explained.
