Neological borrowings in fashion area: what is the circulation in French and Czech language

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis concerns the neological borrowing in the field of fashion and it is divided into two parts. In the first part, the teoretical one, except of a concept of neologism and neology reasons we present also their origine, life cycle, we consider the part of typology as the most developped part. On the other hand, in the practical part of our work we deal with specific expressions from the fashion area. Also, we devide this part into departments concerning cosmetic products, clothing, shoes and last but not least, accessories. The practical part aims to compare the amount of these borrowings in Czech republic and France. For this comparison, We decided to use French and Czech websites of fashion brands and magazines, in which we can find current neologisms in the field of fashion.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o neologických výpůjčkách z oblasti módy a skládá se ze dvou částí. V první, teoretické části vysvětlujeme kromě pojmu neologismus a neologie také důvody jejich vzniku, životní cyklus, kdy jako nejrozvinutější část považujeme typologii neologizmů. Na druhou stranu v praktické části naší práce se věnujeme módě jako takové s již konkrétními výrazy právě z této oblasti. Tuto část dále rozdělujeme na oddělění týkající se oblečení, bot, doplňků a v neposlední řadě také kosmetických výrobků. Praktická část má za cíl neologismy definovat a hlavně porovnat množství těchto výpůjček ve francouzském a českém jazyce. Rozhodli jsme se pro toto srovnání využít francouzské a české webové stránky módních časopisů pro ženy, internetový vyhledávač Google, francouzské i české noviny. V těchto vybraných zdrojích hledáme existenci článků, ve kterých jsou neologismy využity.
