The possibilities of requesting actions: linguistic and gender study in the reality show Gran Hermano

Abstract:

The pressent work deals with the possibilities of expressing orders, sugestions and petitions, in other words, how are requested actions in Spanish. The purpose is show that apart from imperative there are many other possibilities, create their comprehensive classification and dedicate to their study in the reality show Gran Hermano. The work consists of the theoretical and practical part. There are described the possibilities that the speaker has when he/she wants to express orders in the theoretical part. There are handled different grammars and articles with the purpose to collect different ways and create a clear classification. After that, there are described characteristics of colloquial Spanish and of language of men and woman. In the practical part, there are studied the imperative expressiones mentiones in the theoretical part from several points of view in the reality show Gran Hermano. The objective is realize not only a linguistic study, but also a gender study, which means, if there are any differences between men and women concerning the requesting actions in this surroudings. For example, there will be investigated which expressions are used, which functions they occupy, if direct or indirect orders predominate or the presence of being on first name-name terms and using the polite form of address.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá možnostmi, jak se vyjadřují příkazy, návrhy a žádosti, jinými slovy, jak se ve španělštině vyžadují akce. Cílem je ukázat, že kromě imperativu existuje spousta dalších možností, vytvořit jejich ucelenou klasifikaci a věnovat se studiu těchto výrazů v reality show Gran Hermano. Práce se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. V teoretické části se popisují možnosti, které se mluvčímu naskýtají, když chce vyjádřit příkazy. Pracuje se s různými gramatikami a články s cílem sesbírat různé možnosti a vytvořit přehlednou klasifikaci. Dále se popisují charakteristiky hovorové španělštiny a jazyka mužů a žen. V praktické části se studuje použití imperativních výrazů zmíněných v teoretické části z několika hledisek v reality show Gran Hermano. Cílem je uskutečnit nejen lingvistickou studii, ale i genderovou, tj. jestli existují rozdíly mezi muži a ženami týkající se vyžadování akcí v tomto prostředí. Například se bude zkoumat, které tvary se používají, jaké funkce zastávají, jestli převládají přímé, nebo nepřímé příkazy, či přítomnost tykání a vykání.
