Transfer of Intellectual Property Rights from the University Research Projects funded from the European Union Resources

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá transferem znalostí do aplikační sféry se zaměřením na univerzitní výzkumné projekty, které financuje Evropská unie. Na začátku jsou představeny unijní programy, ze kterých je podpora výzkumným aktivitám poskytována. Dále jsou vysvětlena a analyzována pravidla účasti v těchto programech ve vztahu k ochraně, využití a šíření výsledků. Práce podává stručný úvod do možností právní ochrany duševního vlastnictví, který pokračuje jednotlivými formami komercializace nehmotných výsledků výzkumné činnosti. V závěru je krátce zhodnocena role univerzitních center pro transfer technologií.

Abstract:

This thesis concerns itself with transfer of knowledge into applied practice with a focus on university research projects that are funded by the European Union. At the beginning, Union programs, from which support to research activities is provided, are presented. Further, it explains and analyzes the rules of participation in these programs in relation to protection, exploitation and dissemination of results. The thesis gives a brief introduction into options of legal protection of intellectual property that continues with individual forms of commercialization of intangible results of research activity. In the end the role of university technology transfer offices is shortly assessed.
