Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce zkoumá potenciál školních zahrad jako výukového prostředí pro realizaci hodin biologie a přírodopisu na téma Obratlovci. Teoretická část práce obsahuje stručný přehled historie školních zahrad v ČR, Evropě a ve světě, legislativu chovu zvířat na školním pozemku, dostupnou metodiku, příslušné části RVP ZV zabývající se výukou mimo školní třídu, a v neposlední řadě shrnutí literárních děl zabývajících se tímto tématem. Empirická část poskytuje informace o metodice tvorby použitých dotazníků, sběru dat, a jejich interpretaci. Data byla získána prostřednictvím dotazníků vyplněných českými učiteli přírodopisu a biologie se zaměřením na zjištění konkrétních informací pro využití školních zahrad v praxi. Praktickou částí této práce je brožura zaměřená na realizaci výuky přírodopisu na školních pozemcích. Jejím hlavním obsahem jsou návrhy pro finančně nenáročné úpravy školních zahrad pomocí stanovišť pro zvýšení výskytu, nebo pro účely pozorování vybraných taxonů obratlovců. Krom toho předkládá příklady aktivit, které lze na jednotlivých stanovištích provádět v hodinách přírodopisu či biologie. Finální verze brožury byla upravena na základě zpětné vazby tří skupin respondentů. Osloveni byli učitelé z praxe, odborníci z oblasti zoologie a vysokoškolští didaktici biologie. Pro nedostatek navrácených dotazníků z třetí zájmové skupiny vysokoškolských odborníků na didaktiků přírodopisu byly zapracovány úpravy navržené konzultantkou této diplomové práce, která je rovněž vysokoškolskou didaktičkou v oboru biologie.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis examines the potential of school gardens as a teaching environment for biology and natural history lessons on the topic of vertebrates. The theoretical part provides a concise overview of the history of school gardens in the Czech Republic, Europe, and globally, the legislation concerning the keeping of animals on school grounds, available methodologies, relevant sections of the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education (RVP ZV) addressing outdoor education, and a summary of literary research dealing with this subject. The empirical part offers insights into the methodology used for designing questionnaires, data collection, and data interpretation. The data were obtained through questionnaires completed by Czech teachers of natural history and biology, aiming to gather specific information for the practical implementation of school gardens. The practical part of this thesis is a handbook focused on the application of natural history teaching on school grounds. Its main content includes proposals for cost-effective modifications to school gardens through the creation of habitats that either enhance the presence of selected vertebrate taxa or facilitate their observation. In addition, the handbook presents examples of activities that can be conducted in these habitats during natural history or biology lessons. The final version of the brochure was revised based on feedback from the respondent groups: practicing teachers and experts in the field of zoology. Due to the insufficient number of returned questionnaires from the third target group, university specialists in Biology didactics, adjustments were made based on the recommendations of this thesis’ consultant, who specialises in Biology didactics.
