Lexical development and change: New words in English language
Abstract:
ANOTACE Hlavní téma diplomové práce je lexikální vývoj a proměna anglického jazyka. Hlavní důraz je na současnou slovní zásobu anglického jazyka a její vývoj ve 20. století. V práci jsou zkoumány souvislosti mezi lexikálními a společenskými změnami a jak se společenský vývoj odráží v lexikálním rozvoji jazyka.
Abstract:
ANNOTATION: The main topic of the diploma thesis is the lexical development and change of the English language. The key focus is on the lexical evolution of English in the 20th century and on the 20th-century new words and how the language is influenced by historical and cultural context in which it develops.
