The thesis deals with the influence of René Descartes´ philosophy on European thought in the field of education. Diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem filozofie René Descarta na evropské myšlení v oblasti školství. Teoretická část krátce pojednává o živo-tě René Descarta, o převratu v evropském myšlení a o základních princi-pech jeho filozofie.
