Possibilities of compensation of road tax revenue

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá alternativní možností, jak získat pro financování výstavby a renovací dopravní infrastrukturu dostatek finančních prostředků, které by vykompenzovaly pokles výběru daně silniční po změně zákona o dani silniční, který je v platnosti od 01.07.2022 za zdaňovací období roku 2022 nebo případné úplné zrušení daně. Teoretická část vysvětluje, co je to dopravní infrastruktura, jak je financována. Dále je teoretická část zaměřena na vysvětlení konstrukčních prvků daně silniční, daně z přidané hodnoty a daně spotřební a na inkaso těchto daní. V praktické části se práce zaměřuje na kalkulaci sazeb daně spotřební u pohonných hmot, která by vykompenzovaly výnosy při zrušení daně silniční.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with an alternative possibility to obtain enough funds for the financing of construction and renovation of transport infrastructure, which would compensate for the decrease in road tax collection after the amendment of the Road Tax Act, which is in force from 01.07.2022 for the taxation period of 2022 or any complete abolition of the tax. The theoretical part explains what transport infrastructure is and how it is financed. Furthermore, the theoretical part is focused on explaining the structural elements of road tax, value added tax and consumption tax and on the collection of these taxes. In the practical part, the thesis focuses on the calculation of consumption tax rates for fuel, which would compensate for the revenues in the event of the abolition of the road tax.
