Importance of Supported Employment to Social Integration of Disabled People

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je zodpovědět otázku: Jaký je význam má služba podporované zaměstnávání pro sociální integraci zdravotně postižených? Při ověřování významu služby vycházíme z předpokladu, že práce má významný integrační potenciál a může napomáhat uspokojování řady potřeb. Služba tedy může prostřednictvím pomoci při získání a udržení zaměstnání napomoci zdravotně postiženým v celkové integraci do společnosti. Důležité je ovšem dbát také kvalitu zprostředkovaných míst, neboť se domníváme, že pouze kvalitní místa mohou napomáhat integraci. Výzkumem provedeným formou rozhovorů s klienty služby a pracovníky Agentury podporované zaměstnávání jsme zjistili, že služba podporované zaměstnávání může mít kladný vliv na sociální integraci zdravotně postižených, ale její možnosti jsou omezeny nízkou kvalitou míst, které zprostředkovává.

Abstract:

The main goal of this thesis is to answer a question: What is the supported employment services sense for the handicapped people integration? While verifying the service significance we come out of the presumption that job disposes with the meaningful integration potential and can be helpful in case of needs satisfaction. By means of the service it is possible to help the handicapped with the integration into society. Important is to pay attention to the quality of the job places arranged by the service because we suppose that only good-class places can be have a helpful role in the integration process. The research being realized by the interviews with the clients and with the Supported Work Agency workers has shown that the supported employment service can have a positive influence at the handicapped social integration. Nevertheless its potency is limited by the low quality of job places which are being arranged by the service.
