Screening postpartum depression

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřená na screening poporodní deprese. V teoretické části, která je rozdělená na tři části, je definována poporodní deprese, její příznaky a dia-gnostika. Jednotlivé kapitoly se zabývají nejen dopady deprese na matku a dítě, prevencí deprese, problematikou poporodní deprese v České republice a v jiných zemí, druhy scre-eningů, ale také rolí porodní asistentky ve screeningu poporodní deprese. Cílem praktické části, která je věnována kvantitativnímu výzkumu, je zjistit množství žen s klinicky zá-važnými příznaky deprese. Kromě deprese se výzkumná část zabývá také výskytem úz-kosti u žen a mírou psychosociálního stresu. Výsledkem této práce je zjištění, že výskyt poporodní deprese u žen je poměrně rozsáhlé a časté onemocnění a na jeho výskyt se velmi často zapomíná. Závěrem lze říci, že velký počet žen už během těhotenství zažívá jisté psychické potíže, ať už se jedná o úzkostné stavy, nebo stresovou zátěž ženy, což může ve velké míře způsobit rozvoj deprese po porodu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the screening of postpartum depression. The theoretical part, which is divided into three parts, defines postpartum depression, it's symptoms and diagnosis. The individual chapters deal not only with the effects of depres-sion in the Czech Republic and in the coutries, types of screening but also the role of midwives in postpartum depression screening. The aim of the practical part, wwhich is devoted to quantitative research, is to determine the number of women witch clinically severe symptoms of depression. In addition to depression, the research part also deals witch the occurrence of anxiety in women and the degree of psychosocial stress. The fin-ding of this sstates that the occurrence of postpartum depression in women is a relatively large and common illness and its occurrence is very often forgotten. In conclusion, a large number of women already experience certain psychological problems during pregnancy, whether i tis anxiety or stress in a women, which can greatly cause the development of depression after childbirth.
