Dynamic and static renal scintigraphy - the role of radiological assistant

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce charakterizuje metody nukleární medicíny umožňující posoudit morfologii i funkčnost ledvin, tedy dynamickou a statickou scintigrafii ledvin. Teoretická část práce popisuje používaná radiofarmaka, anatomii a fyziologii ledvin včetně jejich patologie a především se zabývá popisem obou zobrazovacích metod včetně jejich modifikací. Praktická část je zaměřena na konkrétní činnosti radiologického asistenta při jednotlivých vyšetřeních, které zahrnují poučení pacienta, přípravu pacienta před vyšetřením i průběh samotného vyšetření. Poznatky pro praktickou část bakalářské práce byly získány odbornou praxí na oddělení nukleární medicíny.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis characterizes the methods of nuclear medicine enabling to evaluate the morphology and functionality of the kidneys, i.e. dynamic and static renal scintigraphy. The theoretical part describes used radiopharmaceuticals, anatomy and physiology of kidneys including their pathology and mainly describes the course of both imaging methods including their modifications. The practical part is focused on the specific activities of the radiological assistant during individual examinations, which include patient instruction, patient preparation and the examination itself. The knowledge for the practical part of the bachelor thesis was obtained by professional practice at the department of nuclear medicine.
