Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou radonu v obytných budovách. Teoretická část je zaměřena na základní informace o radioaktivním plynu radonu, jako je vznik radonu a produktů jeho přeměny, možné zdravotní důsledky pro lidský organismus, zdroje radonu, způsoby migrace radonu do budov, příslušnou legislativu týkající se radonové problematiky. Dále je zde objasněno, čím se zabývá Radonový program ČR, k čemu slouží mapy radonového indexu, stanovení radonového indexu pozemku a možná protiradonová opatření. Praktickou částí práce je průzkum laické informovanosti vybraného obyvatelstva o radonu. Pro tento průzkum byla použita dotazníková metoda, kterou jsem následně vyhodnotila a výsledky zaznamenala do grafů. Průzkum byl proveden u vybrané dospělé populace ve věku 18 let a více a zúčastnilo se celkem sto respondentů. Pomocí těchto dotazníků jsem zjistila, že převážná většina respondentů již o radonu sice slyšelo, ale zpravidla si neuvědomují nebo neznají jeho možný dopad na lidské zdraví. Dále pak respondenti často nevěděli, kde se radon nachází a co může být zdrojem radonu v obytných budovách. Z dotazníků také vyplynulo, že radon si nechalo změřit pouhých 9% respondentů. Respondentům bych doporučila, aby tento problém nepodceňovali a pro jistotu si nechali radon změřit, aby tím předešli případným nežádoucím zdravotním dopadům.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of radon in residential buildings. The theoretical part focuses on the basic information about the radioactive radon gas, such as the origin of radon and the products of its transformation, the possible health impacts upon the human organism, radon resources, the ways of radon migration into buildings, corresponding legislation concerning the radon problem. Next, the Radon program of the Czech Republic is described, as well as the purpose of radon index maps, the determination of the radon index of a piece of land, and the possible anti-radon measures. The practical part is formed by research on the laic awareness of radon carried out upon chosen inhabitants. Questionnaires were used for this research, which I consequently evaluated and the results of which were inscribed in graphs. The research was carried out upon adult population aged 18 and above, and in total a hundred respondents took part. Using the questionnaires, I have found out that the overwhelming majority of the respondents have heard of radon, nevertheless, they do not generally realise or know the possible effect on human health. Furthermore, the respondents did not often know where radon was found and what could its source in residential buildings be. It also emerged from the questionnaires that only 9% of the respondents had had radon measured. I would recommend the respondents not to underestimate this problem and have radon measured, just in case, so as to prevent the possible undesired health impacts.
