A Functional Sentence Perspective Analysis of Temporal and Locative Adverbials in English and Czech Fiction Texts
Abstract:
Práca sa zameriava na umiestnenie príslovkových určení miesta a času v anglickej a českej beletrii. Príslovkové určenia sú skúmané z hľadiska aktuálneho vetného členenia. Práca je rozdelená na teoretickú a praktickú časť. Praktická časť je založená na analýze úryvkov z dvoch románov v anglickom a dvoch románov v českom jazyku.
Abstract:
The Present study focuses on the positions of adverbials of time and place in English and Czech fiction texts. The adverbials are studied from the point of view of functional sentence perspective. The study is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The practical part is based on the analysis of text extracts from two English and two Czech novels.
