A comparison of the business environment of the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation

Abstract:

Námětem této diplomové práce je možnost vstupu české, společnosti na trh Ruské federace. Její založení a fungování tam. Cílem je nejen komparace ekonomik obou zemí, ale rovněž také všech možností, které spolu v tomto ohledu souvisí. Ukazuje se, že přestože bezprostředně po rozpadu zemí takzvaného východního bloku, zejména počátkem 90. let 20. století, aktivity v tomto směru poněkud ochladly, se mnohé české firmy na Rusko opět zaměřují. Tato diplomová práce obsahuje nejen teoretickou, ale rovněž i praktickou část. Uvádí komplexní informace týkající se jak dřívějších, tak zároveň současných možností ekonomik obou států, opírá se o platnou legislativu, zmiňuje vládní a daňovou politiku i další podmínky, na základě kterých český subjekt do ruského podnikatelského prostředí vstupuje. Uváděny jsou zde veškeré záležitosti, na které je nutné brát zřetel. Obsahem je také analýza výhod a nevýhod, které s sebou takové rozhodnutí přináší. Závěr praktické části je pak analýzou obchodní situace české společnosti, která již na území Ruské federace působí

Abstract:

The topic of this diploma thesis is the possibility of a Czech company to enter a Russian Federation market and issues regarding the foundation of a company and its operation in Russia. The aim of the thesis is to compare not merely the economies of both countries but also all the possibilities each economy offers. Despite the fact that immediately after the disintegration of the Eastern bloc and especially in the early 1990s there was a decline in such activities to a certain degree, nowadays, a number of Czech companies have started to focus on Russia again. This thesis comprises both theoretical and practical sections. It provides comprehensive information on past and present possibilities that the two economies offered or offer. It also draws upon valid legislation and describes government and tax policies and other conditions, under which a Czech entity can enter the Russian business environment. The thesis outlines all matters that have to be taken into account in this respect. It also contains an analysis of advantages and drawbacks that the decision to enter the Russian market entails. In the final part of the practical section, the business position of a Czech company that already operates on the Russian market is analysed.
