Generation Z in terms of human resource management

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na generaci Z v pracovním prostředí. Cílem této práce je identifikovat faktory ovlivňující výběr budoucího zaměstnavatele a spokojenost s budoucí prací z pohledu generace Z a následně formulovat doporučení pro podnikovou praxi v oblasti řízení lidských zdrojů se zaměřením na tuto generaci. Práce je členěna na teoretickou a empirickou část. Teoretická část se zabývá generacemi v obecné rovině a charakterizuje jednotlivé generace - Válečnou generaci, Baby Bomers, Generaci X a Generaci Y. Dále vymezuje generaci Z - charakterizuje ji, popisuje v pracovním prostředí a představuje studie zabývající se požadavky na zaměstnavatele a motivátory. Empirická část obsahuje výzkumné šetření. Design výzkumu je zvolen jako smíšený a primárním nástrojem sběru dat je dotazník. Výsledky dotazníkového šetření jsou zpracovány pomocí nástrojů popisné statistiky a u vybraných položek je testována statistická závislost. Následně jsou okomentovány výstupy a srovnány s výstupy vybraných zahraničních studií. V poslední části jsou uvedeny návrhy a doporučení pro podnikovou praxi vycházející z výsledků výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

This Master's Thesis focuses on generation Z in the work environment. The goal of this thesis is to identify the factors, on which the generation Z chooses its future employers and their satisfaction with the future work, furthermore, formulate recommendations for business practice in the field of human resource management, with a focus on this generation. The Thesis is divided into two parts: teoretical and empirical. The Teoretical part focuses on generations in general and their characterizations - The Silent Generation, Baby Boomers, Generation X and Generation Y. It also defines the Generation Z - characterizes it, defines it in work environment, and presents studies dealing with the requirements of employers and motivators. The Empirical part contains a research survey. The research design is chosen as mixed and the primary tool for data collection is a questionnaire. The results of the questionnaire are processed using descriptive statistics tools and statistical dependence is tested for selected answers. Subsequently, the outputs are commented and compared with the outpots of selected foreign studies. The last part contains suggestion and recommendations for business practice based on the results of the survey.
