English Words Used in Czech Context: Influence on the (In)correct Speaking and Writing

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is the linguistic analysis of written and spoken data collected in an international company. This thesis deals with anglicisms, the frequent errors in pronunciation, spelling, grammar and the incorrect usage of English words within the communication in the English language. The theoretical part is focused on describing the basic terms concerning the loanwords, their origin and the types of adaptation. On the basis of information summarized in theoretical part, practical part of this thesis studies mentioned phenomena in collected written and recorded spoken materials.

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je lingvistická analýza psaných a mluvených dat pořízených v mezinárodní firmě. Práce pojednává o anglicismech, častých chybách ve výslovnosti, pravopisu, gramatice a o nesprávném užití anglických slov při komunikaci v anglickém jazyce. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na přiblížení základních pojmů souvisejících s přejatými slovy, jejich původem a způsoby přejímání. Na základě informací uvedených v teoretické části zkoumá praktická část uvedené jevy v sebraných materiálech psaných a mluvených.
