Tato práce zkoumá vývoj LGBTQ+ reprezentace v australském televizním seriálu Heartbreak High (1994-1999) a jeho rebootu z roku 2022. Prostřednictvím metody “close reading” a analýzy postav v seriálu porovnává původní a nově rebootovanou verzi seriálu a zkoumá změny v zobrazování LGBTQ+ postav v průběhu času z hlediska viditelnosti, komplexity a intersekcionality. Abstract:
This thesis examines the evolution of LGBTQ+ representation in the Australian television series Heartbreak High (1994-1999) and its reboot. Through close reading and an analysis of the characters within, the study compares the original and rebooted versions of the series, exploring changes in LGBTQ+ portrayal over time in terms of increased visibility, complexity, and intersectionality.
