This thesis deals with the German compounds which can be found in wellness-based texts. The first part of the thesis is especially devoted to the theory of compounds in both German and Czech languages. Tato práce se zabývá německými kompozity, které se objevují v textech s wellness tématikou. První část diplomové práce se věnuje převážně teorii složených slov jak v německém, tak v českém jazyce. Hlavním cílem praktické části je nejen najít české ekvivalenty pro německá kompozita, ale především na jejich základě ukázat možnosti překladu německých složenin do českého jazyka.
