Attitudes of General nurse students to mentoring

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou současného vzdělávání všeobecných sester, a to především postoji studentů oboru Všeobecná sestra k mentoringu během klinických praxí. V teoretické části práce byl vytvořen souhrn dostupných poznatků o charakteristice oboru vzdělání Všeobecná sestra, k podmínkám výkonu povolání a o klinické praxi studentů ošetřovatelství. Druhá část se zaměřovala na mentoring, na osobnost a roli mentora, ale také studenta ošetřovatelství. Praktická část byla provedena kvantitativní metodou pomocí dotazníku obsahující sémantický diferenciál. Výzkumného šetření se zúčastnilo 63 respondentů. Jednalo se o dva soubory studentů oboru Všeobecná sestra v prezenční formě studia rozdělených podle navštěvované fakulty. V obou souborech byli zastoupeni studenti 2. a 3. ročníků a jednalo se o absolventy oboru Praktická sestra, tak i gymnázií a jiných oborů. Získaná data byla poté kódována a dále analyzována popisnou statistikou.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of current education of general nurses, especially the attitude of students from the field of General Nurse towards mentoring during clinical practices. In the theoretical part of the thesis was created a summary of available knowledge about the characteristics of the field of education for General Nurses, the conditions of the profession and the clinical practice of nursing students. The second part is focused on mentoring, the personality and role of the mentor but also a nursing student. The practical part was performed by a quantitative method using a questionnaire containing a semantic differential. Sixty-three respondents took part in the research survey. These were two groups of students in the field of General Nurse in the full-time form of study, divided according to their faculty. Second and third year students were represented in both groups, and they were graduates from the Practical Nurse field, as well as grammar schools and other fields. The obtained data were then coded and further analyzed by descriptive statistics.
