Mapping of overweight of the preschool and school-age children and determining their levels of fitness in the Pilsen region

Abstract:

V bakalářské práci jsme se zaměřili na problematiku rostoucího výskytu nadváhy a obezity v dětské populaci a na úroveň fyzické zdatnosti dnešních dětí, která s nadváhou a obezitou úzce souvisí. V teoretické části se naše bakalářská práce věnuje dvěma hlavním tématům. Tím prvním je obezita a nadváha. V první kapitole se seznámíme s obecnou definicí obezity, podrobněji se zde zabýváme problematikou obezity v dětství, s jejími komplikacemi a v neposlední řadě se zaměřujeme na prevenci obezity. Druhá polovina teoretické části řeší problematiku fyzické zdatnosti. Podrobněji se zaměřuje na definici fyzické zdatnosti a jejích složek a představuje jednotlivé motorické testy a testové baterie, které slouží ke zjišťování úrovně fyzické zdatnosti. Praktická část je pak věnována interpretaci výsledků měření, které jsme prováděli s dětmi předškolního a školního věku na vybraných školách v Plzeňském kraji. Tato měření byla zacílena na zmapování výskytu nadváhy a zjištění úrovně fyzické zdatnosti.

Abstract:

In the thesis, we focused on the issue of the increasing prevalence of overweight and obesity in the pediatric population and the level of physical fitness of children today that overweight and obesity are closely linked. In the theoretical part of our work deals with two main topics. The first is obesity and overweight. In the first chapter, we introduce the general definition of obesity in more detail we are dealing with the issue of childhood obesity, with its complications, and last but not least, we focus on obesity prevention. The second half of the theoretical part deals with the issue of physical fitness. More specifically focuses on the definition of physical fitness and its components, and presents individual motor tests and test batteries that are used to detect levels of fitness. The practical part is devoted to the interpretation of measurement results, which we have done with preschool and school age children in selected schools in the Pilsen Region. These measurements were aimed at mapping the prevalence of overweight and determine the level of physical fitness.
