Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou státní správy v okrese Beroun, konkrétně vývojem nejdůležitějšího státního orgánu v regionu, okresního národního výboru. Nejprve podává celkový nástin změnami ve správě v Československu po osvobození v roce 1945 až do roku 1990 (s výhledem do velké správní reformy v roce 2002, kdy byly zrušeny okresní úřady). The submitted diploma paper deals with the Beroun state administration problem, and is specific to the development of the most important state administrative body in the region, namely County National Council.
