The Themes of Death in the Selected Texts of Old Czech Literature
Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá tématem smrti ve vybraných textech starší české literatury. Zkoumá proměny přístupu k topickým motivům souvisejícím se smrtí. Na textech středověké a raně novověké duchovní lyriky a také na raně novověkých pohřebních kázáních sleduje proměny těchto motivů z hlediska významu i literárního ztvárnění.
Abstract:
The thesis focuses on the themes of death in the selected texts of Old Czech literature. It explores the changes of author's approach to topoi which are connected to the themes of death. It analyses these changes on the medieval and early modern spiritual lyric poetry, as well as on early modern funeral sermons. This analysis focuses both on the meanings of the topoi and their literary depiction.
