Hydrophilic vitamins in human nutrition

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na charakteristiku hydrofilních vitaminů, tedy vitaminů rozpustných ve vodě. Pojednává o jejich historii, struktuře, vlastnostech a biochemických funkcích, které jsou důležité pro pochopení problematiky vitaminů. Práce se také zabývá výskytem daných vitaminů v potravinách, doporučenými denními dávkami a projevy nedostatku, které způsobují zdravotní potíže a tím narušují důležité funkce organismu. V závěrečné části práce jsou popsány populační skupiny osob, u kterých by mohl hrozit nedostatek některého z hydrofilních vitaminů a rizika s ním spojená.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the characteristics of hydrophilic vitamins, ie watersoluble vitamins. It discusses their history, structure, properties, and biochemical functions that are important for understanding the issue of vitamins. The thesis also deals with the occurrence of these vitamins in food, the recommended daily allowances, and manifestations of deficiency, which cause health problems and thus disrupt important functions of the body. The final part of the thesis describes the population groups of people who could be at risk of deficiency of some hydrophilic vitamins and the risks associated with it.
