Proposal for a series of typographic posters on the theme: "Famous people in the world of Graphic"

Abstract:

V rámci praktické části bakalářské práce vzniklo pět plakátů jako série k tvorbě následujících grafických designerů ve formátu B1: Paul Rand, Ladislav Sutnar, Niklaus Troxler, Neville Brody a Shigeo Fukuda. Každý z pěti plakátů se nese v duchu typické grafiky designera, kterou jsem nově uspořádala. Na plakátech je umístěno jméno grafického designera, citát a text s charakteristickými prvky. Nalezla jsem shodný motiv spojující plakáty - ruku. U Paula Randa se jedná o kreslenou ruku, která je jistým způsobem spřízněna s komiksem Na plakátech k Ladislavu Sutnarovi a Nevilleu Brodymu jsem použila v popředí fotografie ruky. Ruce u Niklause Troxlera a Shigeoy Fukudy jsou opět kresby. Práce mi přinesla spoustu radosti a myslím, že jsem se jí zhostila dobře, protože umožnuje pozorovateli na základě mých plakátů zakrátko získát vhled do tvorby výše jmenovaných grafických designerů.

Abstract:

The result of my bachelor thesis is a series of five posters, size B1, about the following graphic designers: Paul Rand, Ladislav Sutnar, Niklaus Troxler, Neville Brody and Shigeo Fukuda. Each of these five posters consists of typical graphics of the designers, and I have arranged them in a new way; there is the name, a quotation from the graphic designer and a text with the characteristic features, too. The hand is the leitmotif for my posters. In the case of Paul Rand it is a drawn hand, which has some kind of relation to a comic. For the posters of Ladislav Sutnar and Neville Brody I have primarily used photographs of hands. The two hands in the case of Niklaus Troxler and Shigeo Fukuda are drawings, too. The bachelor thesis was a great pleasure for me and in my opinion I have lived up with the subject, because it is possible for a viewer to appreciate the respective of the graphic designer with the help of my posters.
