Differences in adoption and childcare between Germany and Czech Republic

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with types of substitute family care in the Czech Republic and Germany, especially with adoption. The aim of this thesis is to compare the topic of adoption and substitute family care between these two countries. The theoretical part contains basic concepts concerning family, adoption and substitute family care. The practical part is based on a questionnaire in which people are asked what they think about adoption and other types of substitute family care, whether they would take a foreign child into their care etc. Another part consists of two interviews, one of which is with Czech and one with German adoptive parents.

Abstract:

Die Bachelorarbeit befasst sich mit Arten der Ersatzfamilienbetreuung in der Tschechischen Republik und in Deutschland, genauer mit der Adoption. Das Ziel dieser Bachelorarbeit ist es, das Thema zwischen diesen beiden Ländern zu vergleichen. Der theoretische Teil enthält Grundbegriffe bezüglich der Familie, Adoption und anderen Arten der Ersatzfamilienbetreuung. Der praktische Teil basiert auf einem Fragebogen, in dem die Befragten gefragt wurden, welche Stellung sie zu Adoption und anderen Arten der Ersatzfamilienbetreuung haben, ob sie selbst ein Kind in ihre Pflege nehmen würden usw. Ein weiterer Teil besteht aus der Auswertung von zwei Interviews, einem mit tschechischen und einem mit deutschen Adoptiveltern.
