Abstract:
This thesis focus on testing selected economic sanctions theories by process tracing of success and setback in two sanctions episodes that have taken place during 1979-1997 in Iran. The first, theoretical section further defines current quantitative theories and acquired knowledge in today´s economic sanctions research. Diplomová práca sa zameriava na testovanie vybraných teórií ekonomických sankcií pomocou rozboru procesu úspechu a neúspechu na prípade dvoch sankčných epizód, ktoré sa odohrali v Iráne v rokoch 1979-1997.
