Risky Behaviour of Adolescents and Its Prevention at Different Types of Secondary Schools

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá rizikovým správaním v adolescencii a jeho prevenciou na rôznych typoch stredných škôl. Je rozdelená na dve časti, a to teoretickú a praktickú. V teoretickej časti sa zameriava na definovanie pojmov týkajúcich sa adolescencie, charakteristiky jednotlivých druhov rizikového správania, prevencie a oboznamuje so základnou českou a slovenskou legislatívou v oblasti primárnej prevencie. Praktická časť pozostáva zo spracovania a vyhodnotenia dotazníkového šetrenia, ktoré prebiehalo zberom dát medzi študentami druhého a tretieho ročníka šiestich stredných škôl. Každá zo škôl má iné zameranie a z tohto dôvodu bolo možné porovnávať rozdiely v daných školách. Cieľom je zistiť výskyt rizikového správania, oboznámiť s preventívnymi opatreniami, ktoré sú realizované na jednotlivých školách a taktiež zistiť názor na funkčnosť prevencie z pohľadu študentov. Na základe nášho výskumu sme zistili, že najčastejšou formou rizikového správania je na stredných školách záškoláctvo, naopak najmenej sa študenti stretajú so sektárskymi aktivitami. Besedy s odborníkmi sú najčastejšou preventívnou aktivitou, najmenej častou formou sú exkurzie. Viac ako polovica študentov vníma prevenciu ako dostačujúcu, avšak až tretina študentov označilo prevenciu za nedostačujúcu.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis deals with risk behavior at adolescence and its prevention in various types of secondary schools. It is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses on defining the terms related to adolescence, characteristics of individual types, prevention and acquaints with the basic Czech and Slovak legislation in the field of primary prevention. The practical part consists of processing and evaluation of a questionnaire survey, which took place by collecting data between students of the second and third year of six types of secondary schools. These schools are of a diffeent type and due to this, it was possible to compare the differences in the schools. The aim is to detect the occurrence of risk behavior, to acquaint with preventive measures implemented in individual schools and also to find out the opinion on the functionality of prevention from the students' point of view. Based on our research, we found out that the most common form at secondary schools is risky behavior and truancy. The least students encountered sectarian activities. Discussions with experts is the most common preventive activity, the least frequent form are excursions. More than half of the students consider prevention as sufficient, but up to a third of the students described prevention as inadequate.
