Women's experiences with induction of labour in postterm pregnancy

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na problematiku indukce porodu z důvodu potermínové gravidity a vlivu indukce na zkušenosti žen. Teoretická část práce zahrnuje poznatky o potermínové graviditě, preindukci a indukci porodu. Dále jsou zde popsány rizika, incidence a etiologie potermínové gravidity. Tato část se také zabývá jednotlivými metodami preindukce a indukce, alternativními metodami a kontraindikacemi indukce porodu. Závěr teoretické části je věnován managementu potermínové gravidity a informovanosti žen. Průzkumná část je zaměřena na průzkum zkušeností žen s indukovaným porodem z důvodu potermínové gravidity, jejich pocity, vnímání a průběh indukovaného porodu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of induction of labour in post-term pregnancy and the influence of induction on women's experiences. The theoretical part contains knowledge about post-term pregnancy, preinduction and induction of labour. The risks, the incidence, and the etiology of post-term pregnancy are described in this part. This part also deals with the methods of preinduction and induction, the alternative methods, and contraindications of induction of labour. The theoretical part is concluded with the description of the management of post-term pregnancy and women's knowledge. The research part is focused on the research of women's experiences with induced labour in post-term pregnancy, their feelings, perception, and the course of induced labour.
