Sondes to the Czech Land-art with the Consideration of the Work of František Drtikol

Anotácia:

Tato práce se zabývá způsoby komunikace se Zemí v rámci českého land-artového umění. Formou sond zkoumá způsob spolupráce jednotlivých autorů s přírodou. Je zde zkoumán tvořivý přístup k Zemi v tvorbě Miloše Šejna, Milana Maura, Miroslava Pacnera, Františka Skály, Marko Pogačnika a dalších umělců v souvislosti s interpretací témat Matka Země, putování, skála ve fotografckém a malířském díle Františka Drtikola. Ústředním a spojovacím tématem všech dílčích sledovaných témat je spojení člověka a Země, návrat k prožívání Země jako živé, inteligentní a cítící bytosti. Dále práce poukazuje na určité náměty a aspekty tvorby Františka Drtikola, které jej staví do pozice předchůdce českého akčního umění a ozřejmuje, v čem může v dnešní době spočívat aktuálnost Drtikolových děl.

Abstract:

This thesis is concerned with the ways of communication with the Earth within the Czech land-art. It examines the ways of cooperation of individual authors with the Nature. Creative approach to the Earth in the works of Miloš Šejn, Milan Maur, Miroslav Pacner, František Skála, Marko Pogačnik and other artists in relation to the interpretation of the topics of the Mother Earth, wandering and the rock in the photography and painting of František Drtikol stands in the centre of attention. Central and linking theme of all studied topics is a connection between a man and the Earth, return to the perception of the Earth as a living, intelligent and sentient being. The thesis further points out to certain motifs and aspects of František Drtikol’s work that put them in a position of a predecessor of the Czech action art and clarifies in what ways Drtikol’s work can still be relevant today.
