Selected methods for teaching Citizenship education at the second stage of elementary school with the focus on the educational area "Man as an individual"

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce pojednává o vybraných metodách pro výuku předmětu Výchova k občanství na 2. stupni základních škol, a to se zaměřením na vzdělávací oblast "Člověk jako jedinec". Důraz je kladen zejména na moderní výukové metody a rozvíjení žáků v digitální oblasti. Teoretická část práce mapuje různé pohledy na dělení výukových metod a stručný vývoj výukových metod včetně jejich historicko-společenské podmíněnosti. Dále představuje současné směřování a výzvy českého školství v oblasti Výchovy k občanství i obecně. V empirické části práce jsou popsány vybrané výukové metody a metodické náměty navrhující praktické použití těchto metod ve výuce Výchovy k občanství.

Abstract:

This master's thesis discusses selected methods for teaching Citizenship Education at the lower secondary level of elementary schools, focusing on the educational area "Man as an individual". Emphasis is placed on modern teaching methods and developing students' digital competencies. The theoretical part of the thesis explores various perspectives on the classification of teaching methods and provides a brief overview of the development of teaching methods, including their historical and societal conditions. Furthermore, it presents the current trends and challenges of the Czech education system in the field of Citizenship Education as well as in general. The empirical part describes selected teaching methods and provides methodological suggestions for the practical application of these methods in the teaching of Citizenship Education.
