Business models of second hand shops specializing in branded clothes

Abstract:

Jakožto cíl této bakalářské práce byla určena analýza vybraných českých second handových obchodů, které mají přesah do online prostředí, mají v nabídce značkové oblečení; a pomocí poznatků z této analýzy vytvořit byznys model pro vlastní podnikatelský záměr. Tohoto cíle bylo dosaženo pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu, který používal primárně metodu polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Otázky, na které se tazatel ptal, byly převážně postaveny na základě zobrazení Lean Canvas. Volba této metody je odůvodněna přístupem jednotlivých respondentů k těmto otázkám, které měl tazatel během realizace rozhovorů možnost zaregistrovat – na otázky, ze kterých vycházejí metody Business Model Canvas a Flourishing Canvas něměly jednotlivé subjekty odpověď. Metoda Lean Canvas byla použita i přes to, že teorie tvrdí, že je ideální pro zcela nové podniky, což pro ani jeden z nich neplatí. Pomocí těchto rozhovorů byl zformován byznys model, který se založen na komisním prodeji, fyzické prodejně a pop-upech. E-shop bude otevřen pouze v případě pozitivních výsledků dlouhodobého zkoumání přístupu zákazníků k udržitelnosti a konzumerismu.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to analyse selected Czech second hand stores that have an overlap into the online environment, offering branded clothing; and to use the knowledge from this analysis to create a business model for a new project. This objective was achieved through qualitative research using primarily a semi-structured interview method. The questions asked by the interviewer were predominantly based on the Lean Canvas display. The choice of this method is justified by the approach of the individual respondents to these questions, which the interviewer had the opportunity to register during the interviews – the questions underlying the Business Model Canvas and Flourishing Canvas methods had no response from the individuals the interviewer asked. The Lean Canvas method was used despite the theory that it is ideal for brand new businesses, which is not the case for all of the respondents. Using these interviews, a business model was formed based on consignment sales, physical stores and pop-ups. The e-shop will only be opened if there are positive results from long-term research into customer attitudes towards sustainability and consumerism.
