Impact of Internal and External Conditions on Quality of Environment in Rooms and Buildings

Abstract:

Kvalita životního prostředí nejen vně, ale i uvnitř budov se dostává do popředí zájmu odborníků, jelikož značně ovlivňuje efektivitu pracovních procesů i citelnou vnímanou pohodu. Ze široké škály ovlivnitelných faktorů je jedním z významných právě množství vlhkosti obsažené v místnosti a s ním spojená cirkulace. Cílem této práce je stanovení množství kondenzátu z atmosférické vlhkosti, které vzniká při ochlazování proudícího vzduchu z místnosti v podlahovém tepelném výměníku. Práce shrnuje teoretické i praktické poznatky spojené s vnímáním kvality prostředí, určením stavových veličin vlhkého vzduchu, konstrukčními prvky tepelných výměníků a také rešerši publikovaných vědeckých článků na téma kondenzace vlhkého vzduchu za běžných atmosférických podmínek včetně popisu matematického modelu proudění i změny fáze látek. Nejobsáhlejší část práce je věnována vlastním výsledkům práce a výzkumu. Ta se skládá nejen z přesného určení stavových vlastností vlhkého vzduchu, ale také z výsledků vlastního navrženého experimentu, jež je detailně popsán z pohledu variability nastavení akčních členů. Významnou součástí práce je také tvorba virtuálního modelu realizovaného experimentu, jehož cílem je odladění numerického výpočtu tak, aby bylo možné při návrhu nových tepelných výměníků používat pouze tento vytvořený virtuální model. Takovéto řešení má potenciál úspory nákladů na vývoj nových tepelných výměníků, v nichž dochází ke kondenzaci atmosférické vlhkosti mezi ochlazovanými žebry tepelného výměníku. Práce obsahuje kvalitativní a kvantitativní porovnání výsledků experimentu a numerického virtuálního modelu včetně doporučení pro jejich použití v technické praxi.

Abstract:

The quality of environment, not only outside but also inside buildings, is at the forefront of interest of experts as it greatly affects the efficiency of work processes and the perceived well-being. One of the most important factors is the amount of moisture contained in room and the circulation associated with it. Aim of this work is to determine the amount of condensate from atmospheric humidity, which is being created when humid air from room flows between cooled ribs of floor heat exchanger. Thesis summarizes theoretical and practical knowledge connected with perception of environment quality, determination of humid air state variables, design elements of heat exchangers and also summary of published scientific articles on humid air condensation under normal atmospheric conditions including description of mathematical model of turbulence and heat transfer with phase change. The most extensive part of work is devoted to description of results observed and created during own research and development. It consists not only of precise determination of properties of humid air, but also of results of self-designed experiment, which is described in detail in terms of variability of actuator settings. An important part of the work is also the creation of a virtual model of realized experiment. Its aim is to debug the numerical calculation so that would be possible to use only this created virtual model in the design of new heat exchangers. Such a solution has the potential to save costs for the development of new heat exchangers in which atmospheric moisture condensation occurs between the cooled ribs of heat exchanger. The thesis contains a qualitative and quantitative comparison of results of experiment and a numerical virtual model including recommendations for their use in technical practice.
