Cieľom diplomovej práce je charakterizovať právne postavenie Protimonopolného úradu SR, analyzovať jeho pôsobnosť v rámci ochrany hospodárskej súťaže a poukázať na význam právnej ochrany hospodárskej súťaže. Prvá kapitola práce približuje pojem hospodárskej súťaže a podmienky jej fungovania, právnu úpravu hospodárskej súťaže.
