Comparison of irrigation efficiency of timber species planted in urban environment using watering with irrigation pockets and basic watering

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na srovnání dvou typů závlahy dřevin vysázených v městském prostředí a její dopad na dřeviny. Zavlažovány byly stromy dvojím způsobem, pomocí samozavlažovací vaků a běžnou zálivkou. Práce je podložena měřením přírůstu jednotlivých taxonů a hodnocení zdravotního stavu a vitality. Teoretická část se zabývá literárním přehledem a popisem městského prostředí, možnostmi zavlažování dřevin ve městech, problémy limitující úspěšnost výsadeb. Praktická část se věnuje měření taxonů, posuzování a zhodnocení obou typů zálivek, uvedení doporučení pro arboristickou praxi. Výsledkem práce byl výstup dat měřených atributů taxonů. Bylo změřeno 124 stromů pěti různých taxonů z toho 65 s použitím závlahových vaků, 59 stromů bez použití závlahových vaků, které byly zavlažovány běžnou zálivkou. Výsledek měření prokázal fakt, že u všech taxonů s použitým závlahovým vakem byly tito jedinci v lepší kondici a měli větší přírůsty.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is comparing two types of irrigation. It deals with the irrigation of timber species that are planted in the city environment and its impact on the timber species. The timbers were irrigated through auto-irrigative pockets and through the basic watering. The thesis is based on the taxon´s increase, health and vitality measurement. The theoretical part deals with the literary overview and the description of the city environment, ways of city irrigation and the troubles restricting the success of planting. The practical part deals with the measuring of taxons, assessment of the two types of irrigation and the recommendation for arborist practice. There are 124 timbers measured of two different taxon’s types, of which 65 were irrigated with the irrigative pockets and 59 without them. The result of the measurement proved the fact that irrigation through the irrigative pockets had better effect.
