Impact of Asian Competition on the Czech Companies

Abstract:

V posledních letech se velmi často hovoří o dopadu asijské konkurence na různá odvětví a ekonomiku ČR. Často se diskutuje o tom, jak výrobky z asijských zemí ničí obchodníky a firmy na celém světě. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá popisem asijské ekonomiky, konkrétním dopadem asijské konkurence na české firmy, rozborem faktorů konkurenceschopnosti a nástinem dalšího vývoje asijské konkurence či spolupráce. Podrobněji se pak zaměřuje na česko-čínské vztahy a čínskou komunitu v ČR. Obsahuje analýzu několika textilních firem, na které nejvíce dopadla asijská konkurence v období 2005 až 2011, a také opatření a postupy, kterými ještě existující firmy konkurenci čelí. Český trh je ohrožen zejména ve vybraných odvětvích – textilu, sklářství, automobilovém průmyslu a elektronice. V posledních dvou desetiletích došlo k velkému nárůstu počtu vietnamských podnikatelů na území ČR. V existenci asijských podnikatelů lze však spatřovat nejen ohrožení naší obchodní bilance, ale také široké možnosti investic, spolupráce a podnikání v zahraničí. Jedním z cílů je odhadnout další vývoj asijského trhu a možnosti posílení konkurenceschopnosti českých firem.

Abstract:

Impact of asian competition on various industrial fields and economy of the CR is very often discussed in recent years. Repeatedly we can hear about, how asian products destroy salesmen and companies worldwide. This dissertation deals with description of asian economy, particular impact of asian competition on the czech companies, with analysis of competitivness factors and outline of asian competition or cooperation development. In detail, it focuses on the czech-chinese relations and chinese community in the Czech Republic. An analysis of several textile companies, most affected by asian competition during 2005–2011, is included. Besides there are mentioned measures and procedures by which the still existing companies are facing competition. The czech market is threatened especially in selected sectors such as textile, glassblowing, automotive industry and electronics. During last two decades, there was a rapid growth of Vietnamese entrepreneurs amount in the Czech territory. However, in the asian entrepreneurs being it is possible to see not only thread of our trade balance but also wide opportunities for investments, cooperation and undertaking abroad. A sub-goal is to estimate next development of asian market and find possibilities how to strengthen the czech companies competitivness in future.
